Centuro Global was quoted in a Digit News article about the risks posed by government visa policy to the UK’s startup ecosystem.
In April 2024, the previous Conservative government raised the thresholds for overseas skilled workers hired by UK companies. This has had a chilling effect on high-growth companies’ hiring strategies, contributing to already-acute skills shortages.
According to Centuro Global, “if the government is truly serious about spurring economic growth, something must be done to help the skills-intensive businesses that have been so damaged by the onerous system recently introduced by the Tories”
